Experiential Learning

Experiential learning is centered on reflection and relates to an individual's direct experience. The process may reflect on life events and relationships and be constructed from a sense of self. The learner incorporates previously learned information into the current learning process.
For experiential learning, or learning gained from experience, the learner must incorporate four components (abilities):
  1. Willingness to be actively involved in the experience
  2. Ability to reflect on the experience
  3. Possess and apply analytical skills as appropriate
  4. Possess and apply decision-making and problem-solving skills
