Question #39: Heart or Lung Problems

YesNo
Have you EVER
39. Had any problems with your heart or lungs?
Prospective donors should appear to be in good health and free of any major organ disease but may be eligible to donate if the donation site deems it safe. Donation centers may choose to defer donors with heart or lung issues for the donor's safety. A 6-month deferral may follow a cardiac event, procedure, or diagnosis.
Donors who are asymptomatic and report no limitations after diagnosis may have no deferral period.
Donors who have experienced recent symptoms, impairments, or other limitations to activities as a result of their condition are likely to be deferred for a period set by the donation center.
