Communication, continued

First, bring awareness of impending procedural changes (if indicated) to the impacted staff. Emphasize that the revisions being made are not intended to target behavior but rather to improve quality processes. The goal of all revisions/corrections is to cultivate open communication. This can be assisted by communication and staff inclusion in the process.
Training on the new process, procedure, and/or policy must take place to ensure the NCE does not occur again. Verify that modifications are clear to the staff during the training process.
Verification of implemented actions must be determined to be effective. The outcomes of the improvement measures should be shared with the relevant personnel.
