According to the organization's website: the emphasis is placed on "Accountability, Consistency, and Transparency (ACT) around manufacturing, energy and water use, packaging, and end-of-life."19(para 1) ACT makes it easy to choose more sustainable products by providing standardized environmental impact factor labels. Note: Only the companies that choose to have the ACT label will possess it; a company not listed in the database does not mean its products are more or less environmentally sustainable than those that are listed in the database.
