Agents in
Category B are considered the second highest priority agents and are included in this group because they:
Are moderately easy to disseminate.
Cause moderate morbidity and low mortality.
Require specific enhancements of Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's (CDC) diagnostic capacity and enhanced disease surveillance.
