When Are Calibrators Analyzed?

Because of the potential for drift in analysis, calibrators are analyzed at regular intervals, anywhere from every few hours up to several times a year. More frequent recalibrations also may be necessary to re-establish analyte quantitation if analytical drift is suspected or identified earlier than expected.
