Ambient or Room Temperature

Technically speaking, the term "room temperature" indicates the temperature inside a specific building or room, while "ambient temperature" means the temperature of the surrounding area. These terms are used synonymously.
Most laboratory specimens will be handled and transported at ambient or room temperature. The laboratory usually defines room or ambient temperature between 15º to 25º C (59º to 77º F).
