Couriers must maintain the necessary conditions during the specimen transport process. Such as:
- temperature regulation
- protection from light
- preventing breakage, leaking, or spills
- some specimens may be date and/or time sensitive
Gloves should be worn if touching transport bags or specimens. All specimens MUST be secured in biohazard transport plastic bags. Treat all specimens as if they were one of your family members.
