Great customer service can set your organization apart from your competitors. As a courier, you must meet or exceed the expectations not only of the organization but of your clients as well.
To demonstrate great customer service, you need to:
- Have a positive attitude every day.
- Smile and shake hands when appropriate.
- Answer the client’s questions. If you do not have the answer, explain that you will get it, and always follow through to ensure the client is satisfied.
- Report any problems to your supervisor immediately by phone or as soon as you return from your route.
- Organize your route and deliveries for efficiency.
- Never promise what you cannot deliver.
Remember, as a courier, you are on the front lines of customer service. You represent both the courier service organization and the associated healthcare organization. It's a big responsibility and should be approached professionally at all times.
