Courier Dress Code

Your organization will have a dress code for the courier staff. Since the image you present is the image of the organization, it is important that you keep your uniform in clean and well-maintained condition. The company logo may be on your uniform and/or on your identification badge. Your badge must be prominently displayed above the waist so that it is visible to clients at all times. When wearing an outer jacket or coat in cold weather, your badge must be visible and can be attached to the outer garment.
Shoes should be comfortable with rubber soles and cover the entire foot. They must be made of leather or leather-like materials and not allow liquids, blood, or body fluids to soak through. Shoes must NOT have an open toe or back and NOT be made of canvas or be sandals. Couriers may spend a significant time in the laboratory setting, and wearing shoes that allow blood, body fluids, or chemicals to soak in if spilled can be dangerous.
Personal hygiene is essential as well. Brushing teeth is expected, and mouthwash or breath mints are encouraged after brushing or eating. Your hands and nails must be clean. You must follow your organization’s policies on tattoos and piercings. Hair must be clean and well-groomed. This includes facial hair.
