Hepatitis B Surface Antigen (HBsAg)

HBsAg is found in antigen positive hepatocytes in the liver of patients with type B viral hepatitis, cirrhosis, and hepatocellular carcinoma.
Mouse IgG1 monoclonal antibody clone 3E7 localizes in the cytoplasm in type B viral hepatitis infected hepatocytes. No heat-induced epitope retrieval (HIER) or proteolytic-induced epitope retrieval (PIER) pretreatment is required.
Both images demonstrate HBsAg positive liver showing cytoplasmic staining of infected hepatocytes. Mouse monoclonal antibody, clone 3E7, HRP labeled detection system, and DAB chromogen are used.
