Hepatitis B Core Antigen

Hepatitis B Core Antigen

Hepatitis B Core Antigen (HBcAg) is found predominately within the cell nuclei in immunosuppressed patients with chronic hepatitis. Rabbit polyclonal antibodies made to detect HBcAg are the most commonly used antibodies for formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tissue IHC. No heat-induced epitope retrieval (HIER) or proteolytic-induced epitope retrieval (PIER) pretreatment is required.
In the top image, HBcAg positive hepatocytes are showing nuclear and cytoplasmic localization. Rabbit polyclonal antibody, HRP labeled detection system, and DAB chromogen is employed. The lower image shows only the nuclear reaction.
