Photographing FISH Slides

Some photographing system is required for FISH slides. Documenting what is seen on the slide during enumeration is essential because the slide will fade with time. Therefore, at least two images of the slide must be taken to document the findings. Since these images are patient-related, the data must be backed up and archived.
Imaging systems are available that can enumerate the fluorescent signals in the cells. These instruments are gaining popularity as the amount of FISH performed for cancer therapeutics increases. However, an imaging system that enumerates the signals is not required.
