Poor Coloration: Is the Protocol Long Enough?

Often, simply increasing the time in hematoxylin and/or eosin can improve the coloration. Adding increments of 30 seconds for hematoxylin and 15 seconds for eosin can gradually increase intensity to the desired coloration.
