Active shooters can be anyone, even people you trust. They can be a coworker, a mentor, a friend, or a kind stranger you'd open the door for. Some active shooters may also disguise themselves as law enforcement officials. It is important that you be on your guard and keep an eye out for violence indicators (discussed later in the course), even if you trust the person.
