The specimen is received in formalin, labeled with the patient's name, and designated on the requisition as [ ]. The specimen consists of an unoriented skin ellipse measuring [ ] cm and excised to a depth of [ ] cm. There is a [ ] cm [brown-tan flat, gray-pink] [central exophytic nodule] [that abuts, which is located 0.1 cm and 0.2 cm from unoriented lateral margins] and [1.0 cm from tips]. The resection margin is inked green and the specimen is serially sectioned. The specimen is entirely submitted as follows: cassettes 1A and 1B - bisected tips, cassettes 1C and 1D - midsections.
