CLIA standards and regulations are enforced by three agencies, each of which has a unique role in assuring quality laboratory testing. The three agencies include:
- Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS)
- Food and Drug Administration (FDA)
- Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)
