Examples of physical safeguards include:

Storing ePHI on cloud and network hard drives only
Limiting use of portable media, such USBs

No personal USB's should be used

Forbidding ePHI on personal devices
Properly disposing of electronic media by wiping data on hard drives, or by physically destroying portable media
If your job requires travel, never leave work computers or PHI in your car.
