Association for Diagnostics & Laboratory Medicine (ADLM, formerly the American Association for Clinical Chemistry) is an international, private, not-for-profit organization that represents more than 50,000 personnel in clinical laboratory science. Established in 1948, ADLM is a professional organization; it does not provide certification or laboratory accreditation.
As a professional organization, ADLM provides education, advocacy, and collaboration so that laboratory professionals can stay current in a changing industry.
ADLM accredits other education programs through its Advances in Clinical Chemistry Education and New Technology (ACCENT) Accreditation program. The ACCENT program gives laboratory professionals access to education and provides a system through which professionals can earn and document continuing education credits. ACCENT credits are accepted by several organizations, including AMT, AAB, and ASCLS.
ADLM hosts an Annual Scientific Meeting & Clinical Lab Expo where members can connect with global leaders and peers in laboratory medicine and discover cutting-edge technology and vital research in the field. ADLM also publishes two international, peer-reviewed journals highlighting key research: Clinical Chemistry Journal and The Journal of Applied Laboratory Medicine (JALM).
