Example of Disrupted and Fragmented Specimens (Ectopic Pregnancy)

A specimen composed of fragmented parts of the fallopian tube and fetus due to disrupted ectopic pregnancy.
Any traumatically, spontaneously, or intraoperatively ruptured (perforated) lesions identified on surgical specimens must be documented by gross photography and dictated in the gross description. This might affect the perioperative treatment and management modalities of patients.
