Upon analysis using brilliant cresyl blue stain, RNA in reticulocytes will appear as darker inclusions, similar to how they appear with the New Methylene Blue stain.
These RNA inclusions are fewer in number than Hemoglobin H bodies and are only seen in reticulocytes.
