20. Had sexual contact with a person who has hepatitis?
21. Lived with a person who has hepatitis?
Donors who have had sexual contact with a person with hepatitis B or symptomatic hepatitis C are deferred for 3 months after their last sexual contact with the infected individual.
Donors who have lived with a person with hepatitis B or symptomatic hepatitis C are deferred for 3 months after the last date of living with someone who has hepatitis B or symptomatic hepatitis C.
Hepatitis A, D, E, asymptomatic hepatitis C, and any non-viral hepatitis do not require deferral for either scenario.
