General Supervisor Qualifications

The general supervisor provides day to day oversight and supervision of testing in the high complexity laboratory. In addition, the supervisor monitors specimen handling and analyses to guarantee performance of accurate analyses. Performs administrative and supervisory duties as delegated.

To qualify as general supervisor one of the following requirements must be met:
  1. Qualified as a laboratory director or technical supervisor of high complexity testing.
  2. OR doctoral, Masters or Bachelor's degree in a chemical, physical, biological, or clinical laboratory science with one year of laboratory training and experience in high complexity testing.
  3. OR associate's degree or graduated from a medical laboratory training program and at least two years of laboratory training or experience in high complexity testing.
