All associates should know the location of the circuit breaker panels that serve the laboratory area. Circuit breakers should be properly labeled and updated as needed.
Circuit breaker panels should NOT be blocked by stored items or equipment. There should be a clear area of at least three feet to allow for easy access to the panel, as shown in the image on the right, in case emergency shutoff is required.
