La Crosse Encephalitis Laboratory Diagnosis

Laboratory diagnosis of La Crosse encephalitis is similar to other arboviruses. Serum or CSF is tested by virus-specific IgM and confirmed by testing for neutralizing antibodies. State public health laboratories can perform the testing or the specimens can be sent to the CDC.
