Now we sort the observations into the appropriate classes by tallying. In order to keep track of what has been tallied, some people put an X by the number in the raw data table once it has been tallied. If a point falls on the boundary between two classes, it is placed in the greater class. A data point of 70 is placed in the class 70-75, not the class 65-70.
