Benton is a two-year-old patient who presents to the pediatric clinic with their father. The father states that Benton has been generally ill for around one month. The family thought Benton had the flu or another type of upper respiratory infection, they are concerned that the condition is not improving. They have tried several over-the-counter flu and cold products, but the patient remains ill. Benton's father states that for the first week, they had a high temperature and the parents were treating it with an over-the-counter medication. They just cannot believe they are still having to treat Benton for a fever. They also feel the "belly is bigger than normal" on the left upper side. Benton has had a couple of episodes of vomiting and, when asked if they are in pain, Benton points to their head. The patient has not had any medical issues to date.
