General Supervisor Qualifications

The general supervisor provides day-to-day oversight and supervision of testing in the high complexity laboratory. In addition, the supervisor monitors specimen handling and analyses to guarantee the performance of accurate analyses. The general supervisor also performs administrative and supervisory duties as delegated.

2. OR an MD, DO, or DPM with a current medical license to practice in the state of laboratory's location, OR possess a doctoral, master's, or bachelor's degree in chemical, biological, clinical or medical laboratory science. Both need to have 1 year of laboratory training or experience in high complexity testing.
3. OR Possess an associate's degree in laboratory science or medical laboratory technology or meet the educational semester hours of specific coursework or military training and at least 2 years of laboratory training or experience in high complexity testing.
MD = Doctor of Medicine; DO = Doctor of Osteopathy; DPM = Doctor of Podiatric Medicine
