Treatment - Group 6—Psilocybin (Psilocin and Other Indole Derivatives)

Measures to remove the toxin are not necessary. Therapy is primarily directed at reassurance since some patients exhibit a panic reaction. Recovery for the majority of patients occurs within 6 hours. Seizures and hyperthermia most often occur in children. In poisonings where hyperthermia presents, the course of treatment is cooling blankets or sponge baths but NEVER salicylates.
