Neurohypophysis Functions

The neurohypophysis has fewer associated hormones, its endocrine function is narrower than the adenohypophysis. The neurohypophysis is devoted to coordinating fluid balance in the body and plays an important role in reproductive actions. The primary peptide hormones produced in the hypothalamus are vasopressin and oxytocin.
Each of these hormones will be explored in greater detail in the coming pages.
