Gram-negative Bacilli

Most bacteria that are encountered in the clinical microbiology laboratory will be gram-negative bacilli. Gram-negative bacilli include Enterobacterales (formerly known as Enterobacteriaceae), non-fermentative bacilli, Haemophilus species, and several fastidious species.
Gram-negative bacilli may be observed in this field.
