Treatment of CML

Although there is no cure for CML at present, there are established treatment protocols. The standard treatments for chronic phase CML are tyrosine kinase inhibitors, which are targeted molecular therapies. These medications include, but are not limited to:
  • Dasatinib (Sprycel®)
  • Imatinib (Gleevec®)
  • Nilotinib (Tasigna®)
Other therapies for CML include:
  • Interferon
  • Chemotherapy
  • Radiation
  • Surgery
  • Stem cell transplant
  • Supportive therapies
