Environmental monitoring is used to help prevent employee overexposure to formaldehyde. Employees who work in an area where formaldehyde is used are monitored to determine their exposure to formaldehyde.
The initial monitoring process is repeated each time there is a change in production, equipment, process, personnel, or control measures which may result in new or additional exposure to formaldehyde.
